2023 Outstanding Youth Award Winner

The 2023 York State Fair Outstanding Youth Award recipient is Jenna Morris from Fawn Grove, PA.

Jenna Morris graduated from Kennard-Dale High School in 2023. While in high school she participated in many in-school and out-of-school activities and organizations, which include the Kennard-Dale FFA, York County 4-H Dairy Club, Envirothon and the York County 4-H Dairy Judging team as well as participating in her high school’s field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse teams. Throughout her FFA career she has received her Greenhand, Chapter & Keystone Degrees.

Jenna has held many offices in the 4-H and the FFA, including Chapter Reporter, Chapter Social Media Co-Ordinator, and several committee chair positions. As a member of the dairy judging team she represented Pennsylvania at the National 4-H Dairy Judging Competition in Louisville.

At the York State Fair, Jenna’s face is a familiar one here in the UPMC Arena, as she has been exhibiting dairy heifers and cows for many years. But it doesn’t stop there, because Jenna is always seen lending a hand to help her fellow 4-H and FFA Members.

This fall, Jenna will be attending Iowa State University to receive a bachelor’s degree of Science so she can become an Agronomist. As Jenna wrote, “Even though the fair has changed since the first fair in 1765, it still holds the same significance to the community. It is a time for people to celebrate agriculture as one of Pennsylvania’s top industries.” Well Jenna, we agree and wish you all the best, as you have left a long lasting positive impression on the York State Fair community!
